Ice Fishing

My very first fish ever caught through a hole cut in the ice...

All in all, not bad!  Caught another small trout also, but he jumped back in the hole before I could get a picture.

Long time...

And no updates.  Sorry about that, I promise to do better.  Just a few pictures I found while sorting through some photos from the past months.

Here's a cold Ivy, with ice built up on her whiskers and even her eye brows.

Wintertime is here

I awoke this morning to a heavy layer of hoar frost, making everything seem to be in black and white.  I snapped these in the yard.

Oh, and I tried, but this is as close as I could find to a partridge in a pear tree.
(Not in the yard, though.  Thankfully...)

Been snowing off and on all week, and combine the heavy snow, bad roads, and below zero temperatures and I think I will stay close to home this weekend.
