Summer 2011

Well, I haven't been here in quite some time.  But even with everything else that has been going on this summer, not a lot has been photogenic.  But this month found me in West Virginia, with a free weekend, so I decided to tour some Civil War sites, namely Gettysburg and Antietam.  I'm not a huge Civil War buff, but it was pretty interesting none the less.  And humid, did I mention it was humid?

Love those old stone walls

Pretty cool experience, even more so since my brother joined me for my tour at Gettysburg.

As fall starts to roll around, hopefully I'll post here a little more often.

Ice Fishing

My very first fish ever caught through a hole cut in the ice...

All in all, not bad!  Caught another small trout also, but he jumped back in the hole before I could get a picture.

Long time...

And no updates.  Sorry about that, I promise to do better.  Just a few pictures I found while sorting through some photos from the past months.

Here's a cold Ivy, with ice built up on her whiskers and even her eye brows.

And here's a short snap from my favorite local snowshoeing trail.

Stay tuned and a better update will be coming soon!

Wintertime is here

I awoke this morning to a heavy layer of hoar frost, making everything seem to be in black and white.  I snapped these in the yard.

Oh, and I tried, but this is as close as I could find to a partridge in a pear tree.
(Not in the yard, though.  Thankfully...)
